The drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:59 p.m. ET.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338,

but that doesn't stop people from dreaming of the possibility of becoming a multimillionaire overnight.

If you're feeling lucky, you can purchase a Powerball ticket for $2 at most retailers in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

To play, simply choose five numbers between 1 and 69, and one red Powerball number between 1 and 26.

If your numbers match the winning numbers, you win the jackpot!

The U.S. Powerball jackpot has grown to $403 million, making it the 10th largest in the game's history.

Even if you don't win the jackpot, there are still nine other prize tiers, so you have a good chance of winning something.

For example, if you match just the Powerball number, you win $4.

If you do win the Powerball jackpot, you have the choice of taking the prize in annual payments over 29 years, or a lump sum payment.

The lump sum payment is typically around 60% of the total jackpot value.

Before you buy a Powerball ticket, remember that gambling can be addictive, and it's important to play responsibly. Only gamble what you can afford to lose.
